On the last weekend of May, I was finally able to check off my first backpacking trek of the year, some months later than I’d hoped. The endless La Niná rain has delayed many of my ideas, but now it’s time to get them done.

My goal this year is to backpack overnight at least three times, and so it was a relief to get out and trek. I took a single 35mm F1.4 lens on the Fujifilm X-Pro3. In hindsight, I would have liked to have the 23mm F2 available but the photography was a little tricky anyway due to the sheer amount of trees covering views.

Not to worry. I love trees.
