A Few Pictures
A few pictures from my third day with the Leica.
A few pictures from my third day with the Leica.
I’m now shooting on a Leica M Type 240 with a Summarit 35mm f/2.5 lens. The Fujifilm X100s has been such an inspiring camera for me and upgrading to a modern digital Leica has really cemented what photography is to me these days. It’s about taking pictures with an enjoyable camera, and the Leica M lives up to expectations and exceeds them.
The images have huge dynamic range and lots of detail but feel perfectly familiar using VSCO’s Ilford HP5+ processing.
Great day in the city with friends.
Catch ups with Simon and James. All this overcast stormy weather doesn’t seem to inspire me to shoot street photography so I’m hoping it goes back to being sunny soon!
Went for a drive out with my brother and his girlfriend to the State Forest to get out of town for the day.
I played my first gig in about two years this weekend down at Port Macquarie with the rock ‘n roll band I used to be a part of.
Publishing to this black and white blog this year has been immensely satisfying and I don’t think I’ll have any reason to stop for the foreseeable future, but throughout the process of shooting entirely in black and white, you lose awareness of the richness of colour that the photographs could have.
This is a hint of the colour of the places I’ve been this year with personal and street photography.
Saw The Royales play with Wolfmother last night.
Last weekend I stayed in Pottsville at a unit my mum was staying at on holiday. I ended up making a number of new landscapes, some of which I may have framed as gifts. See nickbedford.com/landscapes to see them in colour.
Caught up with Nikki at South Bank.
Brunch and some urban wandering with Connor and Kang today. I definitely got sunburnt.
It’s my 27th birthday today. Had a great day catching up with friends and taking pictures. I’m loving this city more and more.
Monday adventures around the city.
Had lunch with Simon and took my friend Genevieve's portrait.
Sunny street photography in Brisbane. Haven’t done any for a little while now.
